Daura Thakali Pulchowk blaze brought under control quickly
Kathmandu – The fire that broke out at Daura Thakali, Pulchowk (Lalitpur) has been brought under control, police confirmed.
According to SP Gautam Mishra of the Lalitpur District Police Range, the blaze was contained shortly after it was reported with the coordinated response of five fire engines (5 दमकल) and security personnel.
Police said the Daura Thakali outlet located on the eighth floor was completely destroyed by the fire. Additional damage was also reported in other parts of the building, although a detailed assessment of losses is still underway.
Preliminary information indicates the fire was triggered by an electrical short circuit, SP Mishra said. No human casualties have been reported.
Authorities have stated that further investigation will be carried out to confirm the exact cause and determine the total extent of damage
