Election awareness set to rise as tiktok contest with big prizes is announced

Kathmandu – A TikTok video competition aimed at promoting public awareness of the Falgun 21 election is set to be organized by the Election Commission of Nepal.
According to a notice issued on Tuesday, cash prizes will be awarded to the top three videos, with winners to be selected based on total views. As stated in the notice, the first prize has been set at NPR 50,000, while the second and third prizes stand at NPR 30,000 and NPR 20,000 , respectively.
It has been informed that the submitted videos must focus on election campaigning, the election code of conduct, and voter education. Participants are required to submit the video link via email between Falgun 3 and Falgun 17.
The Commission has further stated that the video, with a maximum duration of one minute, must be uploaded on TikTok as well as on YouTube and Facebook.
The initiative is expected to encourage wider public participation, particularly among youth, while promoting informed and responsible voting behavior ahead of the upcoming election.
