Kathmandu – Funeral rites for people who lost their lives in the devastating Rasuwa Bhotekoshi flood have begun at Pashupati Aryaghat in Kathmandu, as families perform the final rituals for their loved ones amid ongoing recovery efforts.
The bodies of those identified from the flood disaster are being taken to Aryaghat for cremation, with families gathering to bid their final farewell. The scenes at Pashupati reflected deep grief as relatives mourned the loss of their loved ones.
The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has arranged support for the cremation of flood victims, including free funeral services at Aryaghat and Bhasmeshwar Ghat, to assist affected families during this difficult time.
The devastating Bhotekoshi River flood in Rasuwa caused widespread destruction, resulting in loss of lives, missing persons and major damage to communities. Rescue and recovery teams continue efforts to locate missing individuals and support affected families.
