Kathmandu – Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies Damodar Bhandari inaugurated the fourth edition of the Nepal Electric, Power & Lights and Consumer Electronics & Lights International Expo on Friday at Bhrikutimandap.
The exhibition is jointly organized by Media Space Solutions, Futurex Trade Fair & Events, and XGBSun & Trade Services India Pvt. Ltd., with support from the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and the Solar Electric Manufacturers Association Nepal (SEMAN).
This year’s event has brought together over 100 stalls from domestic and international companies, showcasing a wide range of products. Exhibits include advanced transmission and distribution equipment, energy supply and control devices, home wiring materials, wires, cables, conductors, modern switches, LED lighting, electronic gadgets, household appliances, charging stations, batteries, and office-use electrical technologies.

Highlighting the opportunities in Nepal’s power sector, Minister Bhandari said the country has immense potential for exporting electricity and electrical products. “The participation of leading national and international brands in this exhibition shows that Nepal has promising prospects in energy production and related industries,” he remarked.
The exhibition aims to promote quality electrical goods, boost business opportunities in the energy sector, and facilitate both domestic and international trade partnerships. It also seeks to encourage efficient electricity consumption while raising consumer awareness about modern energy solutions.
Organized just weeks before the Dashain festival, the event offers customers a convenient platform to purchase a variety of national and international electronic brands at competitive prices.
According to the organizers, the exhibition serves as a hub for Nepal’s growing electrical, electronics, ICT, and alternative energy industries. It provides a space for entrepreneurs to exchange ideas, explore partnerships, and showcase technological innovations that support the country’s transition to sustainable energy use.
The exhibition will run until August 31 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
