Festive escapes: Exclusive hotels offers
As the festive season approaches, hotels in popular tourist destinations like Pokhara and Sauraha offer special discount packages targeted at domestic tourists for the Dashain and Tihar holidays. Hotels in both locations promote attractive offers to capitalize on the growing trend of domestic travel during the holidays.
The Jungle Safari Lodge in Sauraha has introduced a “Dashain-Tihar in Sauraha” package, valid from October 1 to November 15. Nepali tourists can enjoy a two-night, three-day stay for NPR 13,000 per person. The package includes a welcome drink, a super deluxe room for two nights, two lunches, two dinners, breakfast, jeep safari, boat ride, visit to the elephant breeding center, Tharu dance performances, sunset viewings, and a tour of a Tharu village.
Suman Ghimire, Executive Director of Jungle Safari Lodge, emphasized the importance of domestic tourists in the post-COVID tourism recovery. “We have introduced this offer to encourage domestic travel, which has been crucial as tourism gradually picks up after the pandemic,” Ghimire said.
The package requires a minimum of two participants. It is free for children under five, with a 25% discount for children aged 5-10. In addition to the regular package, Jungle Safari Lodge is offering discounts on seminar halls and residential packages for conferences and events during the festive period.
Similarly, Siraichuli Hotel in Bharatpur, Chitwan, has launched a festive offer of NPR 16,999 per person for a two-night, three-day stay. This package includes a welcome drink, room accommodations, daily buffet breakfast, festive lunch and dinner, a four-hour jeep safari, 45-minute canyoning, visit to the elephant breeding center, and Tharu dance performances.
In Pokhara, Hotel Jal Mahal has announced a special Dashain-Tihar package priced at NPR 5,000 for two people, with an additional NPR 1,000 for a third guest. The hotel is also offering a 10% discount on other services and a 15% discount on group bookings.
Hotel Raniban Orchid in Lakeside, Pokhara, is offering a 20% discount on all services during the festival period.
Meanwhile, Waterfront Resort in Pokhara has revealed a Dashain-Tihar special couple package priced at NPR 24,999, which includes a two-night, three-day stay, breakfast, dinner, and airport transfers. The offer is available from October 1 to November 15.
Rupakot Resort in Pokhara has also introduced a Dashain offer, providing rooms at NPR 9,999 per night from September 22 to October 16 for couples, with additional services at discounted rates.
In Dhulikhel, both Dhulikhel Mountain Resort and Aagantuk Resort have launched group and luxury packages for the festive season. Dhulikhel Mountain Resort’s exclusive group package is priced at NPR 3,500 per person, including welcome drinks, deluxe rooms, breakfast, dinner, and tea/coffee for groups of at least six.
Aagantuk Resort’s luxury comfort package is priced at NPR 16,999 for two nights and three days, including premium rooms, breakfast, and meals.
In Chitwan’s Amaltari, Temple Tiger Green Jungle Resort has announced its “Changa Chet” offer, with packages ranging from NPR 6,666 for one night and two days to NPR 25,000 for three nights and four days. The packages include deluxe villas, jeep safaris, full-board meals, American breakfast, continental dinners, Tharu dance performances, sunset viewings on the Narayani River, and elephant feeding.
