Flora Expo 2026 Kathmandu was joined by over 2,000 Visitors
Kathmandu – The 27th Flora Expo, aimed at promoting the flower industry, has been attracting increasing attention from visitors in the capital. The event, being held at Bhirkutimandap, has been witnessing steady growth in both visitor numbers and business transactions, as reported by the organizers.
Organized by the Floriculture Association of Nepal (FAN), the expo is being conducted under the theme “Flower Business for a Clean Environment, Employment, and Economic Prosperity.” It is scheduled to run until March 8.
On the first day of the expo, which commenced on Thursday, March 5, 9,500 visitors were recorded, and transactions totaling NPR 2.15 million were reported. On the second day (Friday), 17,500 visitors attended, with business transactions reaching NPR 2.95 million. On Saturday, the third day, 21,500 visitors were recorded, and transactions amounted to NPR 3.98 million.
By the end of the first two days, a total of 27,000 visitors had attended, and business transactions had surpassed NPR 5.1 million. Both the number of visitors and the volume of transactions have shown further increases by the third day.
The expo features 83 stalls, which include 65 commercial stalls, 11 official stalls, 2 competitive stalls, 2 food stalls, 1 landscape stall, and 1 BYD EV car stall. Various flowers and plants, produced by flower entrepreneurs, are being displayed, and competitions are being held in different categories, as explained by the event coordinator Ram Bahadur Tamang (Sunil).
It is expected by the organizers that 60,000 visitors will attend the expo, and business transactions will exceed NPR 12 million.
The success of the Flora Expo continues to demonstrate the growth potential of the flower business in Nepal, with a positive impact on the environment, employment, and economic prosperity.
