Kathmandu – The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), in collaboration with the Federation of Woman Entrepreneurs’ Associations of Nepal (FWEAN), organized a leadership development workshop in Kathmandu on Friday, November 6, 2026, to strengthen the personal and professional capabilities of women entrepreneurs.
The workshop, titled Purpose, Power and Narrative: Leading from Within – Leadership from the Inside Out, focused on self-awareness, identifying individual strengths, building confidence and developing leadership skills that positively influence professional and business life.
The session was facilitated by a representative of LEC Law and Economic Cooperation Eur Asia GmbH, who is also associated with the board of Berlin-based Silk Road Connect TOO e.V. The facilitator travelled from Germany to Nepal for the programme.
Participants explored how personal experiences, beliefs and perspectives influence leadership styles, decision-making and professional relationships. The workshop also encouraged women entrepreneurs to recognize their potential and develop confidence in leading their businesses.
Addressing the inaugural session, FWEAN President Darshana Shrestha emphasized that successful entrepreneurship requires more than business and technical knowledge. She highlighted self-confidence, effective communication, decision-making abilities and leadership skills as essential qualities for business growth.
Shrestha expressed confidence that such programmes would contribute to the personal development and professional advancement of women entrepreneurs.
During the programme, FNCCI Second Vice President Basanti Pradhan and FWEAN First Vice President Sunita Vaidya discussed the workshop’s objectives and the importance of strengthening women’s leadership capabilities.
They highlighted the role of capacity-building initiatives in supporting women entrepreneurs and improving their participation in business leadership.
The workshop formed part of ongoing efforts to equip women entrepreneurs with practical leadership skills, encourage personal development and strengthen their ability to manage businesses and professional responsibilities.
Through the collaboration, FNCCI and FWEAN sought to promote women’s entrepreneurship by combining professional knowledge with personal confidence, communication and leadership development.
