Free entry: Japanese Film Festival 2025

The Embassy of Japan in Nepal, in collaboration with the Japan Foundation, is set to host the Japanese Film Festival 2025 in Kathmandu and Pokhara. The event, featuring films with English subtitles, will take place at Rastriya Nachghar, Jamal, Kathmandu, on January 31 and February 1, 2025. The festival will continue in Pokhara at the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Gaira Patan, on March 7 and 8, 2025.

The festival promises a cinematic experience with a range of heartwarming and inspiring films, including titles like Brave Father Online, Dreaming of the Meridian Arc, and The Line That Divides Me. A highlight of the Kathmandu event on February 1 is a Japanese Yukata and Happi coat showcase, adding a cultural touch.

The festival offers free entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
