Kathmandu – Hyundai Motor Group’s luxury brand Genesis has introduced its new all-electric GV90 SUV, featuring 12 airbags, including what the company claims is the world’s first roof airbag.
Described as Genesis’ largest and most luxurious SUV, the GV90 features distinctive coach doors that open in opposite directions. It is expected to compete with high-end SUVs such as the Range Rover, Mercedes-Maybach GLS and Rolls-Royce Cullinan.
The GV90 is powered by dual electric motors producing a combined 490 kW (around 657 bhp) and 800 Nm of torque. A massive 123.5 kWh battery supports 350 kW DC fast charging, with a claimed 10–80% charge in around 22 minutes.
Inside, the luxury EV features a 23.6-inch OLED cinematic display, 25-inch head-up display, generative AI assistant, 25-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system and massage seats. The front seats can also rotate up to 180 degrees while parked.
The flagship Neolun Executive Suite offers an ultra-luxury four-seat configuration with a refrigerator, table, semi-aniline leather and smart glass roof.
