Gold price drops by 4,000 Rupees per tola
The price of gold decreased by Rs. 4,000 per tola today. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association has set the price of gold at Rs. 164,500 per tola for Thursday. The previous day, it was traded at Rs. 168,500 per tola.
Similarly, the price of silver has also decreased by Rs. 55 per tola. Silver, which was traded at Rs. 2015 per tola the previous day, has dropped to Rs. 1960.
This decline in Nepal is due to the significant fall in gold and silver prices in the international market. Nepal’s domestic prices are adjusted daily based on international market trends.
International gold prices have fallen by around 3.2% in a single day. Gold, which was trading at US$2745 per ounce at the beginning of Wednesday, fell to US$2657 at the beginning of Thursday.
International media reports suggest that the sharp decline in gold and silver prices is due to the strengthening of the US dollar after Donald Trump was elected US President.
