Hotel Association Nepal Marks Diamond Jubilee with Focus on Tech-Driven Hospitality
Kathmandu – The Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has successfully celebrated its Diamond Jubilee, marking 60 years of service and contribution to Nepal’s hospitality industry. The milestone event was organized under the theme “Tech-Powered Hospitality” and was inaugurated by the Rt. Hon’ble Vice President of Nepal, Mr. Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, who attended as the Chief Guest.
The inaugural ceremony brought together a distinguished gathering of leading hoteliers, tourism entrepreneurs, senior hospitality professionals, government officials, and key industry stakeholders. The event highlighted HAN’s enduring role as a pivotal institution representing Nepal’s hotel and tourism sector, and its continued efforts to strengthen Nepal’s image as a welcoming destination for both domestic and international travelers.
Organizers noted that the Diamond Jubilee celebration was not only an occasion to reflect on HAN’s six-decade-long journey but also a strategic platform to discuss the future direction of Nepal’s hospitality industry. In an era where technology is rapidly reshaping global tourism, the theme “Tech-Powered Hospitality” underscored the importance of digital transformation, smart service delivery, enhanced guest experiences, and innovation-led growth.
Over the years, HAN has played a crucial role in enhancing professional standards, advocating hospitality-friendly policies, and promoting service excellence across Nepal’s hotel sector. The Diamond Jubilee celebration recognized these achievements while encouraging industry players to embrace emerging technologies and adapt to evolving traveler expectations.
The 60th-anniversary event thus stood as a dual milestone—honoring past accomplishments while reaffirming a collective commitment to steer Nepal’s hospitality industry toward a more sustainable, innovative, and globally integrated future.
