Hyundai’s first assembly plant inaugurated in Nepal
Hyundai, the South Korean car manufacturer, has launched an assembly plant in Nepal. The plant has been set up in Nawalparasi in cooperation with Laxmi Motor Corporation, Nepal’s official distributor of Hyundai vehicles.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal inaugurated the plant, expressing the government’s commitment to boosting economic growth by supporting entrepreneurs and investors. Dahal emphasized the importance of private-sector cooperation for economic development and job creation.
He highlighted the plant’s potential to attract both domestic and foreign investment, promoting industrialization and providing employment opportunities.
The Prime Minister also stressed the benefits of local assembly, including affordability for consumers and positive contributions to the economy and local development.
