Objectives of the Research Grant
The research grant is intended to support studies that:
- Explore management and economic challenges in emerging markets
- Investigate the impact of digital transformation, innovation, and financial practices on organizational and economic performance
- Provide actionable and evidence-based insights for banks, policymakers, and economic stakeholders
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Applicants must be enrolled in a recognized MPhil program in Management or Economics at a Nepalese university
- Research proposals must align with the thematic focus areas specified under the grant
- Applications must be recommended by the respective university or college, particularly in relation to financial assistance for the research grant
- All submitted articles and research outputs must be based solely on the author’s personal knowledge, experience, research, and understanding
- Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or algorithmic models in the preparation of articles or research outputs is strictly prohibited and will result in automatic disqualification
- Research topics must be directly related to Banking and Economics

The bank has emphasized that research studies should incorporate both national and international perspectives and must be based on reliable and verifiable data. The proposed research should be innovative in nature and capable of generating practical insights that support decision-making processes within banks and financial institutions.
Grant Details
- The funding will cover research-related expenses, including data collection, travel, and dissemination activities
- The total grant amount and duration will be determined based on the scope and feasibility of the proposed research
- However, the grant amount shall not exceed NPR 100,000 per student, and a maximum of two students will be supported under this scheme
Submission Guidelines
Interested applicants are required to submit a concept note with an abstract of 5 to 7 pages, which must include:
