Kathmandu Metropolitan supports local flower market for Tihar, bans plastic flowers
In a bid to encourage local production, Kathmandu Metropolitan City has announced that it will permit flower farmers to sell their flowers at 46 locations across the city during the Tihar festival. This initiative aims to support Nepali flower growers and promote the use of locally grown flowers for celebrations. Additionally, Kathmandu authorities have imposed a ban on the sale of plastic flowers, reinforcing their commitment to eco-friendly practices and supporting local agriculture.
