Lalitpur – KIST Teaching Hospital, in collaboration with Medanta Gurugram, India, has successfully conducted a specialized academic and clinical interaction on pediatric surgery and pediatric urology under the KIST–Medanta Clinico-Surgical Excellence Collaboration.
The program, held on Bhadra 7, 2083, brought together medical professionals to exchange knowledge and experience on complex pediatric surgical and urological conditions, modern treatment approaches and the management of challenging cases.
Dr. Sandeep Kumar Sinha, a pediatric surgeon and pediatric urologist from Medanta Gurugram, participated as a specialist and delivered expert presentations on various complex areas of pediatric surgery and urology.
KIST Teaching Hospital said its experienced multidisciplinary medical teams, specialized transplant teams and comprehensive clinical services are helping provide quality specialist healthcare within Nepal. The partnership with Medanta further strengthens these services through international expertise and knowledge-sharing.
Under the collaboration, patients with complex medical conditions can also access specialist second opinions and telemedicine consultations. When necessary, patients can consult relevant specialists at Medanta Gurugram without immediately traveling abroad.
KIST Teaching Hospital said the partnership goes beyond academic programs and is focused on improving patient care and treatment outcomes through specialist knowledge, second opinions, telemedicine and advanced clinical services.
The hospital plans to continue regular educational programs, clinical interactions and specialist consultations across different medical specialties under the KIST–Medanta collaboration.
