Makwanpur – The water level at the Kulekhani Reservoir has risen to 1,526 meters following continuous rainfall in the area.
The Kulekhani First Hydropower Station under the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has urged people in and around the reservoir area to remain highly alert, warning that the water level could rise further.
According to the hydropower station, a siren will be sounded as the first warning once the water level reaches 1,527 meters. The station has also requested concerned individuals and communities to share the warning with others and help ensure public safety.
As the reservoir level continues to rise, residents living near the dam and in other potentially vulnerable areas have been advised to exercise particular caution and remain alert to possible risks.
