Bhaktapur — Lupix Entertainment, Drishtikon and Royal Events are set to organize “Music Yatra – Khwopa,” a large-scale charity music festival at Sallaghari Ground in Bhaktapur on November 28, 2026 (Mangsir 12, 2083).

Organizers said the event will be more than a conventional concert, combining live music, traditional cultural performances, food and lifestyle stalls, and community activities aimed at showcasing Bhaktapur’s rich cultural heritage.
The festival will feature popular Nepali musicians Kuma Sagar and The Khwopa Band, who will perform in Bhaktapur for the first time. Kuma Sagar’s performance is expected to be a significant homecoming event, connecting his music with the cultural identity of Bhaktapur.
Other artists scheduled to perform include Mukti & Revival, Nibha Dangal and Chabati Jabu.

Festival for a Cause
The event is being organized with a strong charitable purpose. Funds raised through the festival will be directed to the Community-Based Rehabilitation Organization (CBRO), Bhaktapur, which has been operating a learning centre for children with disabilities in Bhaktapur since 1985.
According to the organizers, 50 percent of the festival’s total profit will be donated directly to CBRO. In addition, all direct donations collected through the event’s digital donation platform will also be provided to the organization.
The festival aims to raise funds for CBRO while increasing public awareness of its work supporting children with disabilities.
Free Entry with an Empty Can
The festival will be free to attend, but each visitor will be required to bring one empty Xtreme Energy Drink can for entry. Xtreme Energy Drink is the title sponsor of the event.
The organizers expect an audience of 25,000 to 30,000 or more people and aim to establish the festival as an annual platform connecting music, culture, local businesses and social responsibility.
The event will also promote local art, crafts, music and cuisine through stalls while providing a platform to celebrate Bhaktapur’s cultural identity and honor local artist Kuma Sagar.
Organizers have invited music lovers, media representatives, sponsors and the general public to participate in the festival and support CBRO’s work.
