NADA Auto Show sees NPR 15 Billion in vehicle bookings
The NADA Auto Show has recorded bookings worth around NPR 15 billion in six days, with approximately 4,200 vehicles (3,600 four-wheelers and 600 two-wheelers) reserved, mainly electric. Karan Chaudhary, President of the NADA Automobiles Association, noted strong interest in EVs, ranging from NPR 3 million hatchbacks to NPR 19 million SUVs, with banks offering up to 80% financing. The event drew over 82,000 visitors, surpassing last year’s numbers.
The recent vehicle booking data shows significant interest across various brands. MAW Vriddhi Autocorp reported bookings for 717 units of Nammi EV, while BYD’s official distributor, Cimex Inc, received bookings for 712 units. Tata’s official distributor, Sipradi, claimed 475 bookings for the Punch EV and 169 for the Tiago EV. SPG Automobiles, the official distributor for JAC and Omoda, reported 323 units booked. Hyundai’s official distributor, Laxmi Intercontinental, recorded 150 bookings.
Other brands also saw notable numbers: Neta, Radar, Xpeng, Ioniq, Leapmotor, Kaiyi, King Long, KYC, Seres, Deepal, Voltz, Avatar, BAW, Zeekr, Skywell, Suzuki, MG, Triumph, Royal Enfield, Hero, Bajaj, CFMoto, Ather, and NIU.
