Ncell Honored as an Outstanding Multinational Company

Kathmandu – Ncell, the first private sector GSM mobile service provider in Nepal, has been honored with the ‘Corporate Business Award 2025’ in the category of Multinational Company of the Year.
The award was jointly presented by Defense Minister Manbir Rai, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Ramnath Adhikari, former President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Bhawani Rana, and Vice President of Corporate Media Group Sushma Mahara. On behalf of Ncell, the company’s Director of Marketing, Communication, and Sustainability, Poonam Singh, received the award.
Ncell has played a significant role in the development of communication and information technology in Nepal and has been providing essential telecommunication services for the past two decades. It is also one of the highest taxpayers in the country. From its establishment until the last fiscal year 2080/81 (2023/24), the company has contributed over NPR 320 billion in taxes and fees.
Additionally, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, the company has contributed more than NPR 2 billion, focusing on key areas such as education, environment, and health. These contributions have supported the government in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Ncell received this honor during the 17th edition of the ‘Corporate Business Award 2025’ organized by the Corporate Media Group. On the occasion of its corporate magazine’s 17th anniversary, the group honored various distinguished institutions and individuals from different industries and business sectors.
