Ncell launches Ncell App Market powered by Opera
February 09, 2017:The country's leading mobile service provider Ncell has launched Ncell App Market, a first of its kind "all you can eat" app-store model under the cooperation with Opera. It allows Ncell users to download as many premium apps and games as they want for a small weekly subscription fee of Rs 15 (including tax) per week.
Launch of the Ncell App Market, which is coming into effect from Thursday (February 9), makes it possible for Ncell customers to get access to paid app store. It is the co-branded product of Opera Apps Club which is the third largest application store for best games and apps for featured phone and android handsets.
Powered by the Opera, Ncell App Market will feature thousands of manually curated Apps and games under various categories like education, business and finance, entertainment, communication, multimedia and many more. The App Market will enable Nepali customers overcome prevailing difficulties in accessing paid Apps and games, and enjoy premium apps and games with ease.
“Since huge number of customers are using feature phones and smartphone users are also growing rapidly, we have come up with this product in collaboration with Opera to provide access to our customers to the premium app market,” said Milan Sharma, corporate communications expert of Ncell. “Ncell App Market is the most affordable and convenient way to purchase premium apps and games for mobile users in Nepal.”
To enjoy using premium apps, customers can activate the Ncell App Market by visiting apps.ncell.axiata.com. Similarly, there is option to subscribe it via SMS. Customers can type A and send to 17110 for weekly subscription which will be renewed automatically every week and for one-time weekly subscription, customers are required to send SMS to 17110 by typing A1. The subscription fee will be deducted from prepaid subscribers’ main balance, while in case of postpaid users, the charge will be included in the monthly bill. Regular data charges/packages will be consumed on download of apps and games from Ncell internet.
Opera will takes care of the app store’s operations and administration on Ncell’s behalf. It constantly rotates and refreshes the apps in the store, with a steady stream of new apps being created and added every week by thousands of app developers.
