Kathmandu – Ncell, one of Nepal’s leading telecommunications providers, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Nepali community following last week’s acts of vandalism that severely affected several of its facilities, including its head office, Ncell ICON in Kathmandu, and regional offices in Mahendranagar, Dhangadhi, and Pokhara.
In a statement released by the company, Ncell expressed deep regret over the incidents, which not only caused significant material damage but also threatened employee safety and disrupted service continuity.
Despite these challenges, Ncell acted swiftly to ensure uninterrupted communication across the country, offering free voice calls, SMS, and internet services for three days. “For the past 20 years, Ncell has prioritised serving the Nepali community. This response reflects our unwavering dedication to supporting our customers in times of need,” the company said.
The telecommunications firm also extended congratulations to Rt. Hon. Sushila Karki on her appointment as Nepal’s new Prime Minister. Ncell highlighted the significance of this leadership transition, describing it as a moment of transformation inspired by the youth-led movement and a step toward greater unity, peace, and prosperity for all Nepalis.
