NCFF and InVision Charity provide underprivileged children with an educational and cultural experience aimed at inspiring bigger dreams and brighter futures

Kathmandu-A group of underprivileged children from Nepal has successfully completed the Dream Flight educational and cultural exchange program in Shanghai, China, coordinated by the Nepal-China Friendship Forum (NCFF) in partnership with InVision Charity.

The children departed Nepal on July 20 and safely arrived in Shanghai after more than 12 hours of travel. For every child in the delegation, it was their first flight and their first journey outside Nepal. Filled with excitement, they experienced international travel for the first time, enjoying the view of the clouds from the airplane and exploring the airport with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Upon their arrival in Shanghai, the children were warmly welcomed by volunteers from Taiwan and Hong Kong. The first meeting was marked by smiles, warm greetings and heartfelt introductions, setting the tone for a memorable educational and cultural exchange.

As part of the program, the children visited the historic Yuyuan Garden, where they explored Shanghai’s traditional architecture and rich cultural heritage. The visit gave them an opportunity to experience a city and culture vastly different from their own, while capturing memorable moments through photographs and shared experiences.

The exchange concluded with a special “Dream Board” activity, where the children reflected on their ambitions and shared their aspirations for the future. Many expressed dreams of becoming teachers, doctors and other professionals who could support their families and contribute to their communities.

 One child’s reflection particularly resonated with organizers and volunteers: “This journey has allowed me to experience so much love. In the future, I want to become someone who can share that love with others.” The statement captured the core message of the Dream Flight initiative encouraging children to believe in their potential and pursue their dreams with confidence.

Throughout the three-day program, the participants not only experienced a new country and culture but also developed confidence, built friendships and gained valuable life experiences. As the program concluded, volunteers presented each child with a farewell gift, while emotional goodbyes reflected the meaningful bonds formed during the journey.

According to NCFF, the organization remains committed to working with InVision Charity and other partners to create educational and cultural exchange opportunities for children from underprivileged and orphaned communities in Nepal, believing that every child deserves the opportunity to dream, learn and shape a brighter future.
