Nepal aims to become global wellness tourism hub, strategy coming soon

Kathmandu- The government has announced plans to position Nepal as a global hub for wellness tourism, promoting eastern philosophy, meditation, yoga, and natural healing practices.

A detailed national wellness tourism strategy will be unveiled within 15 days to drive the initiative forward.

Nepal will also express gratitude to United Nations member states for supporting April 15 as International Wellness Day.

The government has declared wellness tourism a national priority and is preparing to coordinate relevant agencies to celebrate Nepal Wellness Year 2027.
