Rasuwa – The Nepal Army rescued 123 people by helicopter this morning from flood-affected areas in Rasuwa following the devastating Bhote Koshi River flood on Bhadra 10.
According to the Nepal Army, 95 people were safely rescued from the Timure area, including eight foreign nationals. Preparations are underway to airlift the foreign nationals to Kathmandu, while the remaining rescued individuals are being taken to Dhunche.
In a separate rescue operation, seven people trapped inside a tunnel of a hydropower project in Haku, Rasuwa, were rescued alive. Rescue operations are continuing in three other tunnels, the Army said.
The Nepal Army also confirmed that 21 Indian tourists who had been missing in the Timure area were found alive and rescued. Efforts are underway to bring them to Kathmandu.
Search and rescue operations remain active across the flood-hit region as security personnel continue working to locate and evacuate people stranded in affected areas.
