Nepal celebrates World Senior Citizens Day
In honor of World Senior Citizens Day 2024, Nawaneet Toddlers’ Zone held a special Grandparents Day celebration on Wednesday. The event, which recognized the contributions of senior citizens, was marked by a series of engaging activities and heartfelt tributes.
The festivities began with a warm welcome for the Grade 3 students’ grandparents, who were greeted with traditional khadas. The program was officially inaugurated by Indra Mukhia who is the mother of Principal (Neeta Shrestha).
The day’s activities included a health awareness drama, lively dances, and various games designed to entertain and engage the grandparents.
Special recognition was given to Saraswati Gautam, the 78-year-old grandmother of Arogya Gautam, and Indra Mukhia, aged 77, who were honored as the most senior attendees with Dosala and a token of appreciation.
All grandparents present were also presented with tokens of gratitude, celebrating their role and contributions to the lives of their grandchildren and the community.
