Nepal Childhood Cancer Alliance Launched to Strengthen Pediatric Cancer Care

Kathmandu: The Nepal Childhood Cancer Alliance (NCCA) was officially launched, marking a significant step in enhancing childhood cancer care in Nepal. The alliance unites key organizations, including the Ramesh Gupta Memorial Trust, Leonardo Edward Shrestha Foundation, Together Against Childhood Cancer, and World Child Cancer UK, to improve treatment accessibility and patient support.
The event saw participation from government officials, pediatric oncologists, and representatives from WHO, UNICEF, and NGOs. NCCA will focus on awareness campaigns, financial and psychosocial assistance, and survivor rehabilitation. Experts emphasized the need for specialized pediatric oncology infrastructure and coordinated policy interventions to improve care.
