Nepal-China Friendship Forum hosts successful conference on transforming agriculture
Kathmandu – The Nepal-China Friendship Forum held a conference on “Transforming Nepal’s Agriculture” on July 5th in Kathmandu. The event was a resounding success, with the organizers thanking all the speakers and presenters for their contributions.
Finance Minister Hon. Barsha Man Pun graced the program with his presence. He emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector, highlighting that the upcoming budget will include measures to safeguard agricultural products through tax and other policies. These policies aim to modernize and commercialize agriculture, with the removal of VAT on agricultural products in the upcoming fiscal year serving as a key step towards protecting the sector.
