Nepal Securities Board announces essay competition for World Investor Week 2024

The Nepal Securities Board (SEBON) has announced an essay competition celebrating World Investor Week 2024. The competition, open to Bachelor’s and Master’s level students from various universities, aims to promote understanding of the capital market. Participants are required to submit essays on one of the following topics:
- Fundamentals of Investing in Capital Markets
- Prevention of Frauds and Scams in Capital Markets: Role of Investors, Market Intermediaries, and Regulators
Submissions must be between 1,500-3,000 words and should follow a structured format, including background information, argumentation, evidence, clarity, and originality.
- Introduction: Background information, central argument, and outline.
- Body Paragraphs: Topic sentence, evidence, and analysis.
- Conclusion: Key argument, major ideas, and insights.
Winners of the essay competition will be awarded cash prizes, with the first prize set at NPR 15,000, the second prize at NPR 10,000, and the third prize at NPR 7,000. The deadline for essay submissions is October 15, 2024. Likewise, all entries must be in Word format and sent via email to training@sebon.gov.np.
