Nepal Sports Summit 2026 to be hosted in Kathmandu
Kathmandu – The Nepal Sports Summit 2026 (NSS 2026) has been announced by the Nepal Sports Summit Committee, and the event has been scheduled for February 5 at Soaltee Hotel, Kathmandu. As stated by the organizers, a structured national sports conference platform is being introduced for the first time in Nepal, and a wide range of stakeholders, diplomats, international delegates, corporate leaders, government officials, sports administrators, media professionals, and others are expected to be brought under one roof.
It has been informed that five high-level panel discussion sessions are being planned, and major areas of Nepal’s sports sector policy, infrastructure, communication, digital content, and international collaboration are set to be covered.
Topics including sports diplomacy, sports infrastructure development, promotion of emerging sports, the role of sports communication and broadcasting, and sports storytelling through digital content and influencers have been listed for discussion. The names of panelists for each session have been said to be announced gradually through official Nepal Sports Summit social media channels and press releases.
By summit organizer Mr. Aamir Akhtar, the summit has been described as more than an event, and a national movement integrating sports, diplomacy, tourism, and economic development has been emphasized. It has been stated that Nepal’s sports ecosystem is aimed to be connected with global opportunities, while long-term transformation is intended to be supported through international cooperation.
By organizer Mr. Bhaskar Rajkarnikar, confidence has been expressed that an environment for structured dialogue will be created among policymakers, investors, sports leaders, and global institutions, and Nepal’s potential is expected to be converted into practical partnerships and sustainable growth.
Participation from diplomats, international missions, corporate leaders, global investors, government officials, policymakers, and other stakeholders from the sports industry has been said to be ensured. According to the organizers, the summit’s main objectives have been outlined as Nepal being developed as a world-class sports tourism destination, international investment being attracted, and sustainable partnerships being built to strengthen Nepal’s sports economy.
