“Nepal Tech Road Show” 2026 in Texas to boost global IT presence and investment links
Kathmandu-Nepal’s information technology sector is set to gain global exposure as the “Nepal Tech Road Show” will be held on May 15, 2026, in Texas, United States. The event aims to promote Nepal as a competitive destination for software development, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity services.
Organized by NASS-IT, the program will connect Nepali tech companies, startups, and professionals with U.S.-based investors and leading technology firms. The initiative is expected to serve as a bridge between Nepal’s growing IT ecosystem and the American tech market, especially in Texas, a major global hub for innovation and business.
NASS-IT Vice President Dipen Chapagain said the road show will help Nepali IT companies understand international standards, improve business practices, and expand software export opportunities. He added that it will also create new collaboration and investment opportunities for Nepali professionals abroad.
The event follows the success of a similar road show held in Sydney, Australia, last year, which helped expand Nepal’s global IT networking.
Meanwhile, discussions on Nepal–U.S. cooperation in the IT and startup sector have also advanced, including talks on technology transfer, investment, and joint innovation projects. Nepal’s participation in the upcoming SelectUSA Investment Summit 2026 is also expected to further strengthen business ties with U.S. tech companies.
Overall, the Texas road show is seen as a key step toward positioning Nepal as an emerging global tech hub.
