Nepal Tourism Board to Operate Free Shuttle Bus Service on Falgun 21
Kathmandu: The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has announced that it will operate a free shuttle bus service on Falgun 21 (March 5, 2026) to facilitate convenient transportation for both domestic and international air travelers during the election.
According to the Nepal Tourism Board, the shuttle service will be provided for passengers traveling to and from Tribhuvan International Airport, connecting the airport with various tourist hotels and major locations within the Kathmandu Valley. The service will operate from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The board stated that the service has been arranged to ensure smooth mobility for tourists and air travelers, considering possible transportation difficulties on the election day. The shuttle buses will operate regularly along designated routes.
Under the first route, the service will operate from Nepal Airlines Corporation, New Road, Kantipath, Thamel, Lainchaur, Malla Hotel, Nayabazar, Shanker Hotel, Radisson, Durbar Marg, Yak & Yeti, Nagpokhari, and Gaushala, reaching the airport via Dwarika’s Hotel. The route will be coordinated by Ram Bahadur Nagarkoti, and the bus with registration number Ba 1 Pa 1378 will provide the service.
The second route will operate from Maharajgunj Chowk, Narayanthan, Ramada Hotel (Dhumbarahi), Chabahil, Hyatt Regency (Boudha), Jorpati, and Gaushala, reaching the airport. The contact person for this route is Pawan Giri, and the bus with registration number Ba 1 Pa 1320 will be deployed.
The third route will operate from Kupondole, Himalayan Hotel, Tripureshwor, Kalanki, Soaltee, Ekantakuna, Satdobato, Royal Tulip (Gwarko), Tinkune, and New Baneshwor, reaching the airport via Everest Hotel. This route will be coordinated by Suraj Khadgu, and the bus with registration number Ba 1 Pa 1081 will be used.
Acting Director of the Nepal Tourism Board, Sunil Sharma, has urged travelers to use the service to reach the airport on time and travel safely to their destinations on the day of the election.
