Nepal welcomed over 1.14 Million foreign tourists in 2024
Nepal attracted 1.14 million foreign tourists in 2024, marking the highest annual figure since the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). On average, 3,000 tourists arrived daily, resulting in a 14% increase compared to 2023.

Major events like the Nepal Premier League, Global Buddhist Summit, and International Balloon Festival significantly boosted arrivals. Pre-pandemic, Nepal hosted 1.197 million tourists in 2019.
The United Nations World Tourism Organisation reports that Nepal’s tourism sector has recovered 96% of its pre-pandemic levels, signaling a strong post-COVID revival.
