Nepali photojournalists visit Shandong Guojing Group
Shandong Guojing Group is a state-owned large-scale brewing enterprise located in Gaoqing County, Zibo City, the birthplace of Chinese brewing culture. For many years, the group has consistently ranked first in Shandong and among the top nationwide in key metrics such as overall performance and brand influence within the Chinese liquor industry.
The National Forum of Photojournalists Nepal (NFPJ) team visited the “Guinness World Record” brewing workshop and the Chinese Baijiu Museum during their trip to Nepal – Shandong Cultural Week.
The Shandong Guojing Group was awarded the gold medal at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 and received the title “Centennial Brand Enterprise of the World Expo” in 2015. Over the years, Guojing Bandaojing has earned numerous prestigious honors, including “China Time-Honored Brand,” “National Geographic Indication Protection Product,” “Chinese Historical and Cultural Famous Liquor,” and gold medals at the Brussels International Spirits Competition.
In 2020, with the official signing of the China-EU Geographical Indications Agreement, Guojing, alongside Maotai and four other Chinese liquors, became one of the recognized geographical indication products under mutual protection. It is the only product from Shandong’s liquor industry to be included in this agreement.
The Nepali team was delighted to learn about the process of Chinese brewing culture after the visit.
