Nepali Tech Companies Gain Global Recognition at ASOCIO 2025
Nepal’s growing technological expertise received international recognition as seven of its leading technology institutions won prestigious accolades at the ASOCIO Awards 2025. The awards were presented during the ASOCIO Digital Summit held from 10 to 12 November in Taipei, Taiwan, celebrating excellence in digital innovation and transformation across the 24 member economies of the Asia-Oceania region.
This remarkable achievement underscores Nepal’s commitment to becoming a significant player in the regional digital landscape. It also highlights the nation’s expanding ICT capabilities and the growing global competitiveness of its technology sector.
The Nepali institutions recognized at the summit represented a diverse cross-section of the ICT ecosystem. eMark Pvt. Ltd. received the Outstanding Tech Company Award, reflecting its market success and innovative product offerings. Madan Bhandari Memorial College won the Outstanding Digital Transformation Organization Award for its effective adoption and implementation of digital technologies. Ninja Infosis Pvt. Ltd. was honored with the Digital Government Award for its use of IT to improve public service delivery.
Talent development was acknowledged with the WordPress Nepal Community earning the Talent Development Award, while the Internet Service Providers Association of Nepal (ISPAN) secured the Cybersecurity Award for its contributions to securing digital infrastructure. The Startup Award went to Edutech International Pvt. Ltd. in recognition of its groundbreaking innovations and market disruption. Unlimited Technology Pvt. Ltd. received the Global Business Service Award for its exceptional delivery of IT-enabled services on a worldwide scale.
Receiving these honors at the ASOCIO Digital Summit, themed “AI Shaping the Digital Asia,” is a significant milestone for Nepal’s tech ecosystem. Navaraj Kuwar, Vice President of ASOCIO and former President of the CAN Federation, emphasized that the participation of Nepali institutions in this international forum is a matter of national pride and a signal of the country’s rising global ICT profile.
The recognition is expected to elevate Nepal’s presence on the international ICT map, inspire local technology companies to compete globally, and validate the CAN Federation’s strategy of promoting diversity within the nation’s IT sector. The ASOCIO Digital Summit provided a platform for leaders from government, academia, and industry to exchange insights on emerging AI technologies, cybersecurity, digital government strategies, and startup development.
The strong performance of Nepali institutions highlights the country’s readiness to contribute to the future of a digitally connected Asia. Senior Vice President Chiranjibi Adhikari observed that such global visibility “shines a light on Nepali entrepreneurs and encourages growth across the IT industry in Nepal.”
By securing top honors in categories ranging from cybersecurity and digital transformation to startups and global business services, Nepal has firmly placed itself on the regional and international ICT map. The success of these seven institutions not only brings prestige but also inspires confidence, attracts potential investment, and motivates innovation among emerging tech entrepreneurs, reinforcing Nepal’s ambition to become a regional hub for digital excellence.
