New Executive Committee formed at the Association of Spine Surgeons of Nepal (ASSN)
The newly elected office bearers are:
- President: Prof. Dr. Dipak Shrestha
- Vice-President: Prof. Dr. Suraj Bajracharya
- General Secretary: Prof. Dr. Gaurav Raj Dhakal
- Treasurer: Dr. Prem Bahadur Shahi
- Joint Secretary: Dr. Deepak Kaucha
- Committee members: Dr. Subash Chandra Jha, Dr. Sabik Raj Kayastha, Dr. Bikash Parajuli, and Dr. Ayush Shrestha.
The two-day national conference brought together 150 spine surgeons from around the world. On the first day, a hands-on workshop on Endoscopic Spine Surgery was held at Manmohan Memorial Teaching Hospital, Swayambhu. The second day featured the presentation of research papers on various topics related to spine surgery, showcasing advancements and innovations in the field.
The event was held at The Park Village Hotel in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu. A highlight of the conference was the keynote address by world-renowned spine surgeon Prof. Dr. Daniel Riew from Columbia University, USA. He discussed the diverse approaches to treating cervical spine issues and offered valuable insights to the participants.
The Association of Spine Surgeons of Nepal, a prominent organization for spine health specialists, has been actively engaged in training, workshops, awareness campaigns, and other initiatives to promote spinal health care in Nepal.
