The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has introduced three self-guided online courses for 2025 aimed at enhancing professionals’ understanding of security and privacy risk management. The courses, based on NIST Special Publications, cover:
- NIST SP 800-53: Security and Privacy Controls Introductory Course
- NIST SP 800-53A: Assessing Security and Privacy Controls Introductory Course
- NIST SP 800-53B: Control Baselines Introductory Course
Additionally, an introductory course on the Risk Management Framework (RMF) based on NIST SP 800-37 is available. These free resources provide foundational knowledge to help organizations manage security risks effectively.
