Pakistan honors 200+ Nepali students with scholarships, celebrates future leaders
Kathmandu– More than 200 outstanding Nepali students were honored at the 14th Annual Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Ceremony held at Aloft Hotel in Kathmandu on Tuesday.The event, organized by the Embassy of Pakistan, brought together students, parents, teachers, and representatives from Nepal’s education and media sectors. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Abrar H. Hashmi, presided over the ceremony and personally awarded scholarships to deserving Higher Secondary School students selected by their respective schools on the basis of merit and financial need.

Marking the 150th birth anniversary of Pakistan’s founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the embassy also presented a special laptop award to Prapti Lamsal of Tribhuvan University’s Institute of Forestry, Pokhara Campus. She was recognized as the top performer among this year’s scholarship recipients.Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Hashmi described the scholarship program as a celebration of Nepal’s future and encouraged students to develop expertise in STEM, health sciences, biosciences, innovation, diplomacy, financial literacy, and critical thinking.

He highlighted Pakistan’s continued support for Nepal’s education sector through scholarships at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels, as well as institutional assistance to schools in areas such as information technology, sports, liberal arts, and STEM education.
Launched in 2013, the Ambassador of Pakistan Scholarship Program has become one of the most prominent foreign scholarship initiatives in Nepal, supporting thousands of Nepali students in their academic pursuits over the years.
