Pathao Nepal MD Asheem Man Singh Basnyat Steps Down After Leading Market Growth
Kathmandu: Asheem Man Singh Basnyat has stepped down from his role as Managing Director of Pathao Nepal, marking the end of a significant leadership chapter for the company. His departure was confirmed through a farewell message released by the company.
Since Pathao entered the Nepali market in 2018, Basnyat played a key role in shaping the country’s mobility landscape. Under his leadership, ride-hailing services gained strong momentum, becoming widely used and helping redefine urban transportation in Nepal.
The company credited him for turning an ambitious idea into a well-established brand, highlighting his contribution not only in business growth but also in promoting innovation and entrepreneurial culture within Nepal’s startup ecosystem. During his tenure, Pathao set new standards in the ride-sharing sector and saw rapid growth in demand.
Basnyat has also been active in public life in recent years, including contesting in the House of Representatives election from Kathmandu-1 as an independent candidate. Pathao expressed gratitude for his contributions and wished him success in his future endeavors.
