Pradeep Khadka and Narayani Bhandari Win Pokhara Sports Award
Pokhara – Pradeep Khadka and Narayani Bhandari have won the 10th Pokhara Sports Award organized by the Nepal Sports Journalists Forum Gandaki. The awards were presented during a ceremony held in Pokhara on Thursday, where tennis player Pradeep won the men’s title and Narayani won the women’s title.
Pradeep defeated volleyball player Sanju Bikram Shah and judoka Bikram T. Khatri to win the award for the second time. Similarly, Narayani defeated archer Monika Rana and judoka Manisha Tamang to claim the women’s title. Both winners received electric scooters as prizes.
Olympian Tika Bahadur Bogati was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award, while volleyball player Rajan Darlami won the People’s Choice Award and also received a scooter. Bogati was presented with a silver karuwa and a copper plaque.
Badminton player Nibha Rai received the Emerging Player Award, while athletics coach Siddhanta Adhikari was named Best Coach. Kaski District Cricket Association won the Best Sports Association award, cricketer Sushma Tamang received the Special Award, and Dinanath Baral was honored as the Best Sports Journalist of the Year.
The forum presented awards in nine categories during the event.
