Toronto – Nepali, Canadian and Asian-origin professionals who have made their mark far from home will be honoured in Toronto next month, as the Professional Achievement Award Canada 2026 takes place on Sunday, November 1.
The award ceremony is organised by Season Media Pvt. Ltd., a Nepal-based events company. Organisers say the aim is to recognise people who have made a notable contribution in their professional fields while living in Canada and other countries.
The awards cover a wide range of sectors. Honourees will come from business and entrepreneurship, medicine and health, real estate, beauty and fashion, arts and entertainment, journalism, restaurants and hospitality, education, information technology, social service and community leadership.
Regina Tuladhar, programme director at Season Media, said recipients will be chosen based on suggestions and advice from subject experts, journalists and distinguished individuals in Nepal, Canada, the United States and other countries. Each nominee’s professional achievements, contribution to their field and social role will be assessed.
The event was originally planned for October 25 but was moved to November 1 because of Dashain, the biggest festival for Nepalis. It will be held at Tandoori Tikka Lounge in Georgetown, Ontario, starting at 12 noon local time.
Two representatives of the organising company have already travelled from Nepal to Canada for the event.
Season Media has been organising cultural programmes, personality development sessions, event management and national and international events for 18 years. It has previously held award and recognition ceremonies in Malaysia, Dubai and Australia.
Beyond the trophies, organisers hope the evening will create space for networking, collaboration and the sharing of experiences among successful members of the Nepali and Asian diaspora.
For the organisers, the larger goal is to give Nepali and Asian professionals international recognition, and to strengthen cultural and business ties between Nepal, Canada and other Asian countries.
