‘Rashtra Kavi’ Madhav Prasad Ghimire passes away

August 18, 2020: ‘Rashtra Kavi’ Madhav Prasad Ghimire has passed away.

 

The national poet died in his own residence in Kathmandu at the age of 101. He was born on Asoj 7, 1976 BS (September 23, 1919) in Bahundada, Pustun of Lamjung district.

 

He has made remarkable contributions in Nepali literature. He is well-known for his literary works such as Manjari, Gauri, Malati Mangale, Himal Pari Himal Wari, Rastra Nirmata, Kinnar-Kinnari, Charu Charcha, Aafno Bansuri Aafnai Geet and many more.
