Register now for Shine Resunga National 10K Run

Shine Resunga Development Bank Limited is set to organize the “Shine Resunga National 10K Run” competition on the 23rd February (Falgun 11, 2081), under the theme “RUN to SHINE.” This event marks the bank’s 17th anniversary and aims to introduce a national-level 10km athletics competition, popular in the country. The total prize pool for the competition is set at 500,000 Nepali Rupees.

The event will feature three categories: Open, Local under 50 years, and Local above 50 years. Only athletes from Lumbini Province districts (including Arghakhanchi, Banke, Bardiya, Dang, Deukhuri, Eastern Rukum, Gulmi, Kapilvastu, Nawalparasi, Palpa, Pyuthan, Rolpa, and Rupandehi) are eligible for the local categories. Athletes without citizenship from these districts will automatically be entered in the open category. Participants can register in only one category.

The winners in the men’s and women’s categories will each receive 100,000 rupees. The second-place finishers will get 40,000 rupees, third-place winners will receive 20,000 rupees, fourth-place finishers will earn 15,000 rupees, and fifth place will receive 10,000 rupees. To encourage more local participation, there will also be a 5km race for two age groups: under 50 and over 50. Winners in the 5km race will receive 15,000 rupees for first place, 10,000 rupees for second, 5,000 rupees for third, and 2,500 rupees for fourth place.
