Season Media presents National Social Welfare Award 2024
Kathmandu, February 5 – Season Media Pvt. Ltd. honored 18 individuals and organizations with the 5th edition of the National Social Welfare Award 2024. The award ceremony took place on Monday at the Rashtriya Nachghar, Jamal, where Indira Rana, the deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, presented the awards.
- Amrit Narayan Manandhar – Social worker and blood donor coordinator
- Hariraj Sharma Aryal – Social worker and writer from Kapilvastu
- Sarala Panthi – Representative from Himalaya Elderly Home Center in Gongabu
- Isha Gurung – Social worker from London
- Kanchan Rai – Rural tourism promoter and founder of Ghumante
- Phupu Lhamo Lama – Social worker
- Pratibha Thapa – Founder of Naya Parivartan Nepal Women Rehabilitation Center in Dharan
- Rabina Maharjan – Principal of Manmaiju Secondary School
- Radhika Khatri – Lawyer
- Raina Byanjankar – Founder of Oxsa Nepal Animal Welfare Society
- Sabita Upreti – Founder of Autism Special School and Rehabilitation Center
- Sabitri Kumari Adhikari – Founder of Sagarmatha Nepal
- Saroj Baniya – President of Nepal Youth Council
- Sunil Yadav – Founder of Chure Forest Conservation Campaign in Bara
- Janmadev Jaishi – Senior journalist
- Som Nath Sapkota – Tourism promoter and NRN ICC deputy secretary
- Alberto Luzzi – Founder of Jai Nepal NGO
Additionally, a Lifetime Service Award was presented to Tirtharaj Onta, chairman of the Nepal Association for the Welfare of the Blind, Kathmandu, and a dedicated personality in the Nepal Red Cross Society.
The selection committee and advisory panel for the awards included Khil Bahadur Bhandari, editor of Samabesi Monthly; Yogesh Pokharel, Public Relations Officer at Global IME Bank Ltd.; Sushil Aryal, editor of Newspolar.com; Hari Singh K.C., Assistant Campus Chief of Southwestern State College, Basundhara; Hari Gopal Pradhan, senior photojournalist and lyricist and Amit Sharma, businessman and social worker.
