The second Tenzing Norgay Sherpa Open Climbing Competition will be held on January 29 and 30, 2024. Jointly organized by the US-Nepal Climbers Association (USNCA) and Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA), the event aims to promote climbing sports and honor Tenzing Norgay Sherpa’s legacy.
The competition includes qualification rounds at a venue to be announced, with semi-finals and finals at Crimpanzee Adventure Hub in Boudha. Open to participants aged 12 and above, the event features separate male and female categories, with cash prizes of Rs 45,000, Rs 35,000, and Rs 15,000 for the top three winners.
