SEE exam to be held in Chaitra after rescheduling
Kathmandu – The Secondary Education Examination (SEE) for Grade 10 students will now take place from 19th to 29th Chaitra, 2026. The exams, which were originally scheduled for the first week of Chaitra according to the academic calendar, were postponed due to the national elections.
Examination Controller, Mr. Tukaraj Adhikari, confirmed the revised schedule and announced that the exams will begin on 19th Chaitra, 2026.
On the first day of the exams, students will sit for compulsory English, Sanskrit composition for Sanskrit students, and Arabic language for Madrasa students. The exams will proceed according to the new dates, ensuring a smooth transition despite the earlier delay.
The second day will feature compulsory Nepali for all students, along with additional English for non-residential Nepali students, offering fair examination opportunities to all candidates.
The rescheduling was necessary to avoid a clash with the national elections. The revised dates aim to accommodate both the election and educational requirements.
The education department has urged students, guardians, and exam centers to make necessary preparations to ensure that the exams are conducted in an organized and fair manner.
