SEE results are out now!
Kathmandu: The National Examination Board, Office of the Controller of Examinations (Grade 10) has announced the results of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). This year, only 47.86% of the students who participated have passed.
A total of 186 students achieved a GPA of 4.0.
Out of the 464,785 students who took the exam, only 242,092 qualified to advance to Grade 11, indicating that 52.14% of the examinees received a Non-Graded (NG) score.
This year’s results were published according to the Letter Grading Guidelines of 2078, which separate the evaluation of theoretical and internal assessments. Students must score a minimum of 35% in each subject for the theoretical part.
For subjects with a theoretical exam worth 75 marks, students are required to score at least 26.25 marks. Additionally, for the internal assessment out of 25 marks, a minimum of 40% (10 marks) is needed. The final results are calculated by converting the scores from both theoretical and internal assessments into grades.
Students who do not score at least 35% (26.25 marks) in subjects with a 75-mark theoretical exam will receive an NG (Non-Graded) indication on their certificates and will not be eligible to enroll in Grade 11 without taking a grade improvement exam.
Furthermore, students who fail to achieve at least 10 marks in internal assessments or 26.25 marks in theoretical assessments of any subject will not receive their main certificate. However, they are allowed to take a grade improvement exam in up to two subjects.
Students who do not achieve the minimum 35% marks in more than two subjects and fail to secure 35% in the grade improvement exam will have to retake the exam next year only in the subjects where they received NG.
