Special price list set for hotels along Gosainkunda trek for Janai Purnima festival

As the Janai Purnima festival at the sacred Gosaikunda pilgrimage site in Rasuwa approaches, the District Administration Office has established a special price list for hotels along the trekking route. This price list will be effective only during the festival period to ensure fair pricing for pilgrims.

The decision comes in response to complaints from travelers who reported being overcharged due to inconsistent pricing at hotels on the Dhunche-Gosaikunda trekking route. To address these concerns, the administration has mandated a uniform price list for tea, food, horse rides, and accommodation services offered by hotels and teahouses along the route from Ghattekhola to Gosaikunda.

Saraswati Adhikari, Assistant Chief District Officer stated that the price list has been set specifically for the duration of the Gosainkunda festival. Different prices have been determined for various locations on the trekking route, including Ghattekhola, Khandi, Deurali, Dhimsa, Chandanbari, Cholangpati, Lauribina, and Gosaikunda.

The Gosainkunda festival, which begins on Nag Panchami and culminates on Janai Purnima, is expected to draw thousands of pilgrims to the holy site. The special pricing measures aim to provide transparency and prevent the exploitation of travelers during this significant religious event.
