Spend over Rs 100, Keep Your Bill, Win Rs 100,000 Every Day

Kathmandu-The Government of Nepal has introduced a new incentive scheme that will give citizens the opportunity to become a lakhpati every day by encouraging tax compliance.
According to the Ministry of Finance, individuals registered under the Value Added Tax (VAT) and Permanent Account Number (PAN) systems will be eligible to participate in a daily lucky draw.
To qualify, consumers must make purchases worth more than Rs 100 through either digital or cash payments and obtain the original VAT bill from the seller.
The ministry has urged the public to always ask for genuine VAT bills when purchasing goods or paying for services at hotels, restaurants, and other businesses. The initiative aims to promote tax transparency, discourage tax evasion, and encourage consumers to demand official receipts for every eligible transaction.
