Tata Motors launches Punch EV in Nepal
Kathmandu: Tata Motors has officially introduced its electric vehicle, the Punch EV, to the Nepalese market. The vehicle has been brought to Nepal by Tata’s authorized dealer, Sipradi Trading.
The Punch EV will initially be available in two variants tailored to the local geography for testing purposes. Following these tests, the company plans to feature the vehicle at the NADA Auto Show, which begins on August 11.
The Punch EV has earned a five-star safety rating from the Indian New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) crash test. It boasts a fast-charging capability, with a full charge achievable in just 56 minutes. Tata Motors claims the vehicle’s battery offers a range of up to 421 kilometers on a single charge.
The vehicle features a ground clearance of 190 mm, with dimensions including a wheelbase of 2.4 meters, a boot space of 366 liters, and an overall length of 3.8 meters. It is equipped with a 35 kWh battery pack and a 3.3 kW AC charging box. The Punch EV’s 90 kW motor delivers 190 Nm of torque.
