The Asian Professional Achievement Award 2024 concluded with grandeur
On the occasion of the 16th anniversary of Season Media and Constitution Day 2081, the Asian Professional Achievement Award 2024 was held magnificently at Hotel Himalayan, Kupondole. The event honored successful business professionals from various Asian countries, including Nepal, with several prestigious awards. On the evening of Wednesday, Ashwin 2 (September 18, 2024), the award and recognition program took place under the chief patronage of Honorable Chairman of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal.
At the event, Dr. Rajesh Kazi Shrestha, an entrepreneur and honorary consul of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Nepal, received the “Global Diplomacy and Economic Excellence Award.” Similarly, banker Sunil K.C. was honored with the “Outstanding Leadership in Banking Award,” Dr. Anil Pokharel with the “Leadership Excellence in Nephrology and Public Health Service Award,” entrepreneur and businessman Cabinet Shrestha with the “Iconic Business Entrepreneurship Award,” Dr. Swagat Shrestha with the “Visionary Educator and Researcher Award,” and Yugesh Bhakta Bade Shrestha with the “Visionary Leader in Non-Life Insurance Award.” Furthermore, Mahendra Raj Kandel was awarded the “Global Education Leadership Award,” and Dr. Piaratna Maharjan received the “Global Peace and Humanitarian Leadership Award.”
Additionally, other individuals honored included journalist Manarishi Dhital, who received the “Outstanding Journalism Award,” Ma Dong Soo, who was awarded the “Innovative Leadership in Aesthetic Excellence Award,” Nirmala Sharma, who received the “Distinguished Media Professional Award,” and former Miss Nepal and fashion entrepreneur Usha Khadgi, who was honored with the “Media and Fashion Entrepreneurship Award.” Shiva Pangeni received the “Excellence in Video Journalism Award,” Amit Agarwal was recognized with the “Digital Finance Innovator of the Year Award,” and singer Indira Joshi received the “Iconic Performer Award.” The “Outstanding Local Governance Award” went to Shukra Chuman, Sunita Adhikari was honored with the “Woman Entrepreneurship Award,” Pradeep Timilsina received the “Diaspora Leader in Media and Community Award,” and Devil Singh Rajput was awarded the “Inspiring Youth Entrepreneurship Award.”
The Asian Professional Achievement Award 2024 not only recognized Nepalese professionals who have made significant contributions and achievements in their fields but also honored successful various professionals from international scene. Among those recognized were Waheeb Saleem Chughtai from Pakistan, who received the “Photojournalism Achievement Award,” Zhang Jinxiang from China, who was honored with the “Agricultural Innovation and Trade Leadership Award,” and Yui Sibao from Vietnam, who was awarded the “Global Humanitarian and Culinary Innovator Award.” From Thailand, Mrs. Wadsana Rai was honored with the “Exemplary Leadership Award,” Su Xui from China received the “Visionary Photographer and Cultural Advocacy Award,” Monirul Islam Sabuj from Bangladesh was awarded the “Excellence in Photojournalism Award,” Mohsin Masood Dar from Pakistan was honored with the “Excellence in Hospitality Leadership Award,” Dr. Jayamalini Eaganathan from Malaysia received the “Global Excellence in Education and Sustainability Award,” and Siddharth Chawla from India was recognized with the “Pioneer in Global Expansion and Operational Excellence Award.”
The event was attended by numerous distinguished individuals from various sectors, including media professionals. The awards were handed over by the chief guest, Honorable Narayan Prasad Dahal, Chairman of the National Assembly. The program, conducted by fashion choreographer and media person Rojin Shakya, commenced with a welcome speech from Pradip Raj Onta, the chairman of Season Media. A vital role in organizing the grand event was played by an advisory board that included former minister Hon. Eknath Dhakal, senior journalists Kishor Shrestha and Khil Bahadur Bhandari, educator Hari Singh K.C., businessman Amit Sharma, and senior photojournalist Hari Gopal Pradhan.
